As both a Canadian academic, and an archaeologist, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Terzis' Bird of Prey. The characters are believable, the plot is nicely woven, but best of all, he demonstrates a close familiarity with his subject, my world.

A fascinating - and remarkably accurate - insight into the institutions and the characters of the international archaeological community in Athens. And a real page-turner to boot. A very enjoyable read!

In Simon Drake author Terzis has given us an intriguing hero--part academic geek, part Lothario. We smile even as--following his tracks--we admire both his erudition and his erotic adventures.
But while we are learning fascinating facts about ancient artifacts and modern scholars, coin collectors, counterfeiters and thieves, Simon is gaining his own unexpected education in the ways of women and the workings of his own psyche. He is an apt pupil--and by the end of the novel, quite a wise owl. I'm glad to have met him!

A gripping read! Terzis’ deep appreciation of the myths, landscapes and architecture of Greece make ‘Bird of Prey’ come to life.
